Emmanuel S. Llamas

Mr. Llamas is a partner. His family (Vera) migrated to Aurora, IL during the 1910 Mexican Revolution to escape political violence, becoming one of the first Mexican families to settle in Aurora and later opening the first Mexican grocery store in the city. With these strong local roots, Mr. Llamas is committed to serving the legal needs of local businesses and families in Aurora and the surrounding communities, including Spanish-speakers. He understands that legal matters can be intimidating or overwhelming, and that is why he pays special attention to explaining the legal process to clients and maintaining strong client-communication, including providing timely case updates and responses. Mr. Llamas is a proud graduate of East Aurora High School’s Class of 2005.   He regularly speaks to elementary school and high school classrooms about the importance of education as a means of overcoming adversity and mentors younger students in the Boys II Men mentoring organization.  In 2019, Mr. Llamas was elected to the Aurora City Council as Alderman of the 1st Ward. He is the youngest alderman in the Council’s history. Mr. Llamas sits on the Rules, Administration, and Procedures (RAP) Committee as Vice Chairperson and also sits on the Finance Committee.

Thomas St. Jules

Mr. St. Jules is a partner. Born and raised in Aurora, Mr. St. Jules returned to Aurora upon graduating from law school. Mr. St. Jules began his legal career with the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a felony prosecutor, Mr. St. Jules litigated a wide range of criminal matters from first degree murder to complex fraud and financial crimes. During this time, Mr. St. Jules also represented the State in forfeiture actions, mental health hearings and post-conviction proceedings. Since going into private practice in 2012, Mr. St. Jules has represented clients in a wide variety of cases including criminal and DUI defense, divorce and family law, commercial / residential real estate, estate planning, personal injury and civil litigation. Mr. St. Jules’ practice presently focuses on estate planning, family law, real estate, and criminal defense. In addition to his legal work, Mr. St. Jules is also active in the Aurora community as a member of the Board of Directors of the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry and a member of the West Aurora School District 129 School Board.
